Martin’s Bikes was the first company to introduce the concept of the ‘guided wine-bike tour’ in Chacras de Coria and as such, we try to provide you with a unique and personalised experience, taking you to the main sights of the countryside as well as the hidden cultural spots other tours miss. With your local guide you will be immersed into the culture, history and vibe of our unique wine region and industry. Our tours offer the perfect combination of outdoor activity, wine tasting and cultural indulgence.
In addition to our standard wine tours, we offer private tour options and mountain bike tours for all levels of cyclists.
Our Team
Martín
FOUNDER/GUIDE
Martin has been in the tourism business for over twelve years, having received his degree in tourism at the Marcelino Champagnac University in Mendoza. Martin spent six years travelling and working in Southern Africa, Norway and Italy before returning to South America to work with the Australian company Intrepid guiding across Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Uruguay. Since 2015 Martin has dedicated himself full time to the development of Martin’s Bikes, working hand in hand with his partner, Julie-Anne, to make Martin’s Bikes the leading wine bike tour in Mendoza. Martin is passionate about his homeland and the wine-making business having completed an advanced degree in wine making technology.
Julie-Anne
RESERVATIONS / GUIDE
After meeting Martin, on a hiking tour through Patagonia in 2014, Julie-Anne decided to move to Argentina, leaving her northern Irish roots behind her, to make Mendoza her home. Julie-Anne was a barrister in London for seven years before deciding to dedicate herself to the tourism industry in Mendoza. She will be your first point of contact for reservations and enquiries.
Rubén
GUIDE
Ruben is a very experienced tour guide, having received his degree and worked in tourism since 2006. He is a local and passionate about his home province. He is an outdoors enthusiast having specialised in adventure tourism since 2013.
He speaks fluent English and Portuguese and loves all sports, especially football and cycling. He can think of no better job than showing off all that Mendoza has to offer whilst cycling with Martin’s Bikes
Federico
GUIDE
Federico has been working in tourism for 21 years with a focus on the ‘outdoors’. On receipt of his tourism degree in 2004, Federico began his worldwide travels, working as a rafting and adventure guide in Spain, Italy, Slovenia and Norway. It was in Norway that he met Martin where they worked together for three summer seasons.
Federico is multilingual, speaking fluent Spanish, English and Italian. He loves to travel and meet new people. He is also a wine and mountain bike enthusiast, therefore describing his position at Martin’s Bikes as the “job of his dreams.”
